Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data Fighter's Photographer processes, why, and what your rights are. Last updated 19 October 2026.

Who is responsible?

Fighter's Photographer is a trade name of Joana Germano Lagarto (Joana d'Art), based in Tiel, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 70490678. Questions about privacy can be sent to info@joanadart.nl.

What data, and why?

When you visit the website

The website is hosted by Netlify. Every visit involves technical data such as your IP address, browser type and time of the visit. This is needed to run and secure the site (legitimate interest). The photos on the site are loaded through Cloudinary, an image hosting service, which also processes your IP address.

The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or trackers. Fonts and scripts are served from our own server, so no data is sent to Google or other parties for them.

When you book an appointment

Appointments are booked through Calendly. Calendly then processes your name, email address and anything you enter, so that Joana can contact you about your shoot (performance of a contract, or steps you request before entering into one). Calendly's own privacy policy applies on their site.

When you get in touch

If you send a message via Instagram or email, we use the information you share to answer your question. Meta's privacy policy applies on Instagram.

When you hire us

For an assignment we process your name, contact details and billing details. This is needed to carry out and invoice the work. Invoices and related records are kept for seven years, as required by Dutch law.

When you appear in a photo

People are photographed at fights, galas, training sessions and portrait shoots. Photos are used for the client and may be shown in the portfolio and on social media. For portraits we ask for permission. At events we use photos on the basis of legitimate interest, respecting your portrait rights. If you appear in a photo and want it removed from the website or social media, email info@joanadart.nl and we will take it down.

Who receives your data?

We never sell your data. We work with these service providers, who process data on our behalf or under their own terms:

These companies are based in the United States. Data is transferred there under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long do we keep data?

No longer than necessary. Messages and appointment details that do not lead to an assignment are deleted no later than one year after the last contact. Assignment and invoice records are kept for seven years.

Security

The website uses a secure connection (https) and only Joana has access to the photo management.

Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your data. You can also object, restrict processing, or ask for your data so you can use it elsewhere. Send your request to info@joanadart.nl; you will receive a reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
